The impact of time between cognitive tasks on performance : evidence from advanced placement exams / Ian Fillmore, Devin G. Pope.
Cambridge, Mass. : National Bureau of Economic Research, 2012.
Nowadays, people face the problem of dealing with tons of tasks in the short period while under the limited time, the research pointed out that the cognitive tasks affect the performance. Just to think about that, you know there are two consecutive work that you must finish tomorrow; however, the other one is that there are two demanding work that you need to cope with in the deadline of this weekend. From the part of metal angle, you will feel nervous and worry to your conservative tasks because you need to do in time. Of course, you might not perform well on your work although you are talent in dealing with tasks. The stress, emotion, or mental problems already low down your cognition to face how and what to do next. Moreover, it is one of the point that causes you trouble but there are also some kinds of different ideas, deserving to be discussed. For example, some people might be good at time management so that they can do tons of work with the good performance. In another, some people might be stimulated by the high pressure so as that the tasks become their motivation to complete well. Under the same condition, it should show up some same reactions but it still depends on how you to fix and respond the problem you face. We must try to learn every time in life and reflect from the lesson we fail; at last but not least, we couldn’t focus on whether how far we will go on or how hard we will confront troubles. Those must make you stirring up much fear and lost yourself on the way to the next destination. Why not to enjoy the sweet and hard moment at once? And brave to overwhelm the challenges and expecting to what happened next?
